Capturing Wisconsin’s timeless landmarks through the architectural sketches and photography of David Robillard, founder of Landmark Memories.
As a photographer, artist, and illustrator, the intent of my work and the mission of Landmark Memories is to create images that reflect places and spaces that are the key cornerstones of communities.
The landmarks are chosen from people visiting them, bringing about an emotional connection and long-lasting memory. While each piece captures the overall concept of the space or place, adjustments and enhancements are made to each piece, creating an environment that broadens one's imagination.
The Visionary Behind the Sketch
David Robillard was born in Manitowoc, WI and moved to Green Bay, WI in 1953. Following his graduation from high school, David served in the United States Coast Guard. He attended the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee School of Architecture and Urban Planning. As an architect, David focused on strategic planning for client projects including the Superconducting Super Collider and numerous prisons for DHS and private contracts. Following his career, he founded Landmark Memories, where his artistic talents have documented landmarks around the state of Wisconsin.

A landscape is the visible features of an area of land, its landforms, and how they integrate with natural or human-made features, often considered in terms of their aesthetic appeal.

Lodging in Door County is as varied as the peninsula itself. You can wake up to a full breakfast in a Victorian bed and breakfast in Fish Creek, fall asleep to the sound of Lake Michigan from a cabin near Baileys Harbor, or spend a week in a fully equipped resort condo with the whole family. There are boutique hotels, historic inns, waterfront cottages, campgrounds inside state parks, and everything in between.

Streetscape is a term used to describe the physical elements of a street and the visual aspects of a street as experienced by a pedestrian. It encompasses the physical elements of a street, such as the pavement, sidewalks, lighting and street furniture, as well as the visual elements such as buildings, parks, signage, landscaping and public art.

The maritime industry refers to all activities connected with the transport of goods and people by sea, marine resource extraction, coastal services, and maritime infrastructure. It includes shipping and logistics, shipbuilding and marine engineering, ports and terminals, offshore energy, and maritime education and workforce development
Door County’s culinary influences may date back to the 1800s when Icelandic, Scandinavian, and European settlers began immigrating here, but the region’s position as a Midwestern culinary powerhouse is only a development of the last few decades. These days, you can find everything up here from kid-friendly fast-casual spots to classic Wisconsin supper clubs to pubs serving gourmet burgers and wings to fine-dining restaurants embracing the latest in global food trends.Th

Door County, located in Wisconsin, is a rural area that is home to a variety of religious congregations. From traditional churches to smaller nondenominational groups, the county has something for everyone. Many of the churches have been around for many years, and serve as spiritual centers for the community. As well as providing spiritual guidance to their parishioners, many of these congregations also offer social events and programs that help build relationships between members of the community. The churches in Door County are not only places to practice one's faith but also hubs where members can come together and enjoy fellowship with their neighbors
